On Human Rights Day, December 10th, 2012, participants of the 2nd International Intersex Forum, in Stockholm, with the assistance of ILGA and ILGA-Europe, published and delivered the,  “Open Letter: A Call for Human Rights for Intersex People,” authored by OII Chair Hida Viloria, to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay. As outlined in the Astraea Lesbian Fund for Justice’s “We Are Real: The Growing Movement Advancing the Rights of Inersex People” (A Blobal Movement, paragraph 7), with over two dozen international and national intersex advocacy organizations from Europe, Latin and North America, Africa, South and East Asia, and Australia signing in support, it is the first global call for human rights by and for intersex people, and we are extremely pleased  by the unprecedented community participation.
