The Intersex Campaign for Equality supports all members of the intersex community regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation or ability, and we, like many, have been deeply saddened by, and are deeply concerned about, the slew of killings and violence witnessed against Black Americans by police officers over the past days, months, and recent years in this country.

Dr. Dani Lees Harris, ICE’s Southern Regional Representative is a retired black police officer, and has responded to the recent tragedies by authoring a MoveOn.org petition to Attorney General Loretta Lynch, calling for police training reform. Dr. Harris has also volunteered his own services to do so, free of charge, in his inspirational and moving call to action video.

This problem, like IGM, is tragic, heartbreaking, and unacceptable, and it will not go away by itself. We commend Dr. Harris’s efforts, and urge you, If you believe that #blacklivesmatter, to please sign and share his petition.
