Are you intersex and queer and feeling grateful about it? Or not? We’d love to hear from you!
Over the years, we’ve gotten feedback from dozens of intersex folks who are also members of the LGBTQ community telling us that they don’t see their voices and/or experiences represented as much as they’d like to. In order to address this, we’re creating the IQ Quarterly, a quarterly publication promoting intersex queer voices.
We know many you have written about these issues or have been wanting to, so why not get started this holiday season–always a ripe time for queer folks to vent! We are seeking creative nonfiction (essays), fiction, and poetry written from queer intersex perspectives. Please send work by December 31, 2017 to: IQQ@intersexequality.com.
* Please limit essays and short fiction to 5,000 words or fewer, and please send no more than 5 poems at a time.
* Please send as .doc or .rtf files
* You will hear from us by the second week of January with regard to acceptance or rejection, as we aim to publish in late-January.
